The Sohmer Piano Company built some of the finest pianos in American history. Sohmer was established in 1872 by Hugo Sohmer and K. Kuder in New York. Sohmer was one of the most prestigious piano makers of the 19th and early 20th. Sohmer was known for their use of elaborate woods and had a reputation for exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail. Sohmer is one of only a handful of American piano manufacturers to survive and keep the company in the family throughout the 20th Century. Sohmer was sold to Pratt Reed & Company in 1982 and the prestigious old name is being produced today. They are revered as some of the best made pianos of the early 20th century and finding one in good condition is a dream of many people. A fully restored Sohmer is a superior instrument, even by today's standards making restoration and preservation well worth the effort and expense.

Like all pianos you'll want to get it tuned after its moved but it sounds and plays well as is. I can recommend a great piano tuner if you don't know anyone. Really nice guy and doesn't over charge.

I can also recommend a great teacher of you're looking for someone to give your child lessons. My daughter's teacher is great and I'm happy to refer her to you.

I will include professional delivery in the Denver metro area with 25 miles. Delivery includes moving inside and set up but only on ground level. Upper or lower levels will be an additional cost.
