Mason & Hamlin pianos have great construction quality. They are massively overbuilt pianos with heavy rims, rich bass response, and a darker, more powerful American tone than many comparable baby grands. Many technicians consider older Mason & Hamlin grands among the only American pianos truly worth full restoration besides Steinway.
This piano was built in the 1900s and rebuilt in 1973. There is some cosmetic wear on the case and keys, but it has a great sound and holds tune well. The action is smooth and on the heavy side.
