Mahogany Chickering Baby Grand Piano *FREE DELIVERY

Oh man, they don't make them like this anymore. Gorgeous mahogany cabinet and beautiful ivory keys. This piano I spent its whole life loved and cared for at a local church. Tuned regularly and played often.

It is an excellent condition. Made in 1953 here in the good ol' USA. Antique grand pianos are my favorite! They have the richest and warmest sound. With booming bass and bright treble. An antique piano like this that is still in good playable condition are some of the best sounding pianos in the world, with depth and character. They have SOUL!!!

There is just something about 100 year old copper strings, 500 year old-growth timber, being hand built and assembled that modern day technology cannot reproduce.

This piano has been fully cleaned serviced and tuned, and it's ready to go!

Chickering & Sons was the first piano manufacturer in America. Chickering quickly became one of the largest and most successful piano manufacturers of all time. The firm was originally established in Boston in 1823 by Jonas Chickering and his partner James Stewart.

Chickering was an innovative manufacturer and the firm was not afraid to take risks. During the 19th and early 20th Centuries, Chickering was constantly evolving and improving their designs in order to build the finest piano possible. Chickering’s unique approach to unconventional and improved design paid off in the 19th Century when celebrity pianists like Franz Liszt and Louis Moreau Gottschalk endorsed Chickering & Sons, stating that their instruments were the only instruments that would hold up to their strenuous performances! Liszt and Gottschalk always played Chickering pianos on their American concert tours.

Like all pianos you'll want to get it tuned after its moved but it sounds and plays well as is. I can refer you to a great piano tuner if you don't know anyone.

Free professional delivery in the Denver metro area within 25 miles is included. Outside of 25 miles there is a small fee for mileage. Delivery includes moving inside and set up as well, but only on ground level. Upper or lower levels will be an additional cost. (please call for a quote)
