Cable Nelson Baby Grand Piano!!

In 1903, Fayette S. Cable, brother of H.D. Cable (of the Cable Piano Company) and Hobart M. Cable (of the Hobart M. Cable Piano Company) purchased The Lakeside Piano Company and Sweetland Piano Company to form the Fayette S. Cable Piano Company. Nelson joined the firm in 1905, and the name changed to the Cable-Nelson Piano Company.

Cable-Nelson was a very successful manufacturer known for building very well made instruments. Cable-Nelson built pianos under the names of Fayette S. Cable, Cable-Nelson, Radcliffe, Lakeside, Sweetland, Henderson and Boller. Cable-Nelson also built player pianos under the “Dulcitone” brand name and an affordable alternative to the costly Cable-Nelson brand player pianos.

Cable-Nelson was taken over by The Everett Piano Company in the 1920’s and is one of a handful of American piano brand names to survive the Great Depression. Cable-Nelson and Fayette S. Cable brand names continued to be manufactured until the 1980’s.
